In an interesting DUI-related incident recently, a driver of an ice resurfacer was arrested for DUI during a school hockey game.
The resurfacer driver was apparently driving his vehicle erratically around the ice during a high school girls’ hockey game. However, his erratic driving behavior caught attention, and he was arrested for driving under the influence. The man was apparently a seasonal employee for the local district, and has since been fired.
The high school hockey game continued on the non-resurfaced ice, because coaches did not want to wait for another driver to come and replace the drunk driver. The man has severe DUI consequences in store for him. This is not his first arrest for DUI. He was convicted earlier of DUI in December, and pleaded guilty to those charges.
